Common Ground Review
is the official poetry journal of Western New England College
(WNEC).
Richard Bentley and
Editor Larry O'Brien , instructors in the English department, approached department chair
Chip Rhodes with the idea for the
joint venture.
Larry O'Brien is one of the founding members of Common Ground Writers'
Group, publishers of the internationally known poetry journal.
Funding
will allow Common Ground Review to upgrade the
publication to a
perfect binding; advertise broadly; and, as a result,
publish more poetry.
More than 280 poets have appeared in
the eighteen volumes published to date. Submissions have come from
all over the United States and as far away as Belgium, England,
Scotland, Ireland, Greece, and South Africa.
Affiliation
with the college will also provide opportunities for student interns
to share in the publication experience of the editorial staff.
The
editors of Common Ground Review welcome English Department
Chair Professor Winthrop "Chip" Rhodes to our editorial board.
