Deborah McAlister is a playwright and poet born and raised in New York City. She studied with Frank Bidart at the New York Summer Writers conference for many years. Individual poems have appeared in the Asheville Poetry Review, Fling Quarterly and American Journal of Poetry. She contributed a couplet to the Tupelo Press Million Line Poem. She is a graduate of Yale and Columbia Business School.
