John Biggs was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to American parents living abroad, and was raised in South America and in the Caribbean. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland School of Social Work, he is retired from the practice of psychotherapy where he specialized in the treatment of adults abused as children. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland. His poems have appeared in Poet Lore, 32 Poems, The Baltimore Review, and Baltimore’s City Paper, among others.
