Charles Gillispie received his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona. He is a licensed counselor specializing in the use of expressive arts, publishing articles describing his work in Addiction Professional, Journal of Poetry Therapy and Therapeutic Recreation Journal. He has received grants and fellowships from the Arizona Commission on the Arts and the Pima Arts Council supporting residencies in Donegal, Ireland and Zurich, Switzerland. His first collection of poems, The Way We Go On, was published by the Backwaters Press. Most recently, his poems have appeared in ACM, December, Oberon, and Psychological Perspectives.
